LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man faces charges after striking a victim with a flashlight.
According to authorities, a victim was asleep when Aaron Barker entered his room and asked for a flashlight. The victim told him to go to bed, and that’s when Barker grabbed the flashlight and threw it at the victim, striking him in the neck.
The officer noticed a laceration with dried blood around it on the victim’s neck. The victim stated that if the flashlight had hit him in the head, it would have killed him.
Barker was arrested on the scene. He was charged with domestic battery and malicious wounding. He is currently being held in Southwestern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
