PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A warrant for the arrest of a 63 year old Parkersburg man was executed on Tuesday, leading to the discover of hundreds of images and videos depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit activity.
According to the Parkersburg Police Department, on Tuesday 5/30/2023, Detectives with the PPD placed Robert Eugene Hickman – 63 years old of Parkersburg, WV – under arrested on a warrant for 72 counts of Distribution and Exhibition of Material Depicting Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit conduct.
The investigation leading up to the arrest of Hickman was conducted as a result of a cyber tip which was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Internet Crimes Against Children investigators executed a search warrant and were able to collect evidence of hundreds of still images as well as multiple videos containing graphic depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit activity.
Hickman was arraigned in Wood County Magistrate Court where his bond was set at $250,000, and is being housed in North Central Regional Jail after failing to post bond.
