FLATWOODS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Webster Springs man is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Braxton County led to the seizure of drugs, firearms, and other evidence early Sunday morning.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Troopers D. M. Reeves and T. J. Bonetti conducted a traffic stop on Harley Brown Road in Flatwoods at approximately 12:57 a.m. on Sunday, July 12.
During the investigation, troopers searched the vehicle and recovered three firearms, approximately 24 grams of methamphetamine containing fentanyl, approximately 8 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, plastic baggies commonly associated with the distribution of controlled substances, U.S. currency, and an open container of alcohol.
Pete L. Tanner, 56, of Webster Springs, was arrested and charged with Driving Left of Center, No Proof of Insurance, three counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver, Driving Under the Influence (Habitual User), Prohibited Person in Possession of Firearms, and Open Container.
State police said Tanner was transported to the Central Regional Jail, where he was processed and remanded to the custody of jail staff pending arraignment.
