BOONE COUNTY, WV – A man is recovering after he was violently assaulted and robbed by two men.
Authorities are investigating a robbery and assault that took place on September 17, 2024, in which the victim claims he was beaten with a baseball bat and robbed of $300 in cash and an iPhone 14 Pro Max. The suspects, including Carl “Trey” Stollings and Larry Dotson, reportedly attacked the victim during the incident.
When questioned, the second defendant denied using a baseball bat but admitted to assaulting the victim with his fists and kicking him, bragging about causing the injuries. The defendant had visible bruising and knots on his torso and right arm, as well as other minor cuts and scrapes.
According to the defendant and his mother, they transported the victim to the hospital to receive treatment for his injuries.
The incident occurred in Boone County, WV, and the report is based on the observations of the responding officer and statements from the victim and defendant.
So far, only Larry Dotson has been charged.
