VALLEY BEND, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested in the Valley Bend area of Randolph County after attacking a man at Valley View Mobile Home Park.
According to Sgt. B.W. Cogar of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call was made on Saturday, September 10 in reference to a battery incident at the mobile home park.
The caller, Robert Allen Wamsley, advised that he had been attacked by Travis Kieth Arbogast.
Arbogast reportedly struck Wamsley as Wamsley was attempting to retrieve his dog from the defendant.
Wamsley informed the officer that, as he bent down to retrieve his dog from the defendant’s leash, the defendant kicked him in the chest, knocking him down.
He further stated that, as he was attempting to get up, he was punched in the side of the head by Arbogast.
The officer then spoke with Arbogast, who advised that he had retrieved Wamsley’s dog and walked it to Wamsley.
Abrbogast stated that, after removing the dog from the leash, he “shoved” Wamsley with his foot, and that Wamsley kicked him.
The defendant says he then hit Wamsley “3 or 4 times,” and told him to keep his dog out of his yard.
Randolph EMS assisted upon request and assessed Wamsley’s injuries. The victim stated his intention to pursue criminal charges.
An arrest warrant was executed on the defendant on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 by Sgt. B. W. Cogar, along with Cpl. S. D. Kyle, Sr. Dep. Z. T. Pingley and Dep. L. R. Elbon.
Travis Kieth Arbogast at his residence without incident and transported to the Tygart Regional Jail, to await arraignment.
