CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is charged after intentionally torturing his dog, which resulted in the dog’s death.
According to a Cabell County Humane Officer, Christopher Cullum agreed to bring his dog to the vet on September 8, 2023, due to its poor health. Cullum never brought the dog to the vet, and he claimed the dog died on September 9, 2023.
The Humane Officer says that before the initial visit, the dog was observed to be severely emaciated and weak as it walked. After Mr. Cullum discovered the dog dead, he let it sit for two days in the living room with another dog present before placing it in a trash bag, where it sat for the remainder of the time until September 19, when officers visited Mr. Cullum for a follow-up.
Cullum is charged with animal cruelty. Cullum is currently out on bond.
