BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing charges after a shooting incident.
According to Beckley Police, on July 18, 2021, police responded to West Line Drive about shots fired call. Â When they arrived, a woman was lying on her stomach on the floor in the dining room area, crying and screaming, stating that she had been shot in the leg and could not move. Â The victim said that Albert Jones, her child’s father, came to the back door and shot the back glass out, kicked the door breaking the glass out, entered the home, and shot her in the pelvis. Â Mr. Jones then fled the scene on foot.
EMS arrived on the scene and transported the victim to Raleigh General Hospital. Â Police collected evidence and recovered an expended bullet from the floorboard and Mr. Jones’s cell phone on the scene.
Jones is charged with malicious wounding, burglary, trespassing, destruction of property, wanton endangerment, and delivery of a controlled substance. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 500,000 dollar bond.
