MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A West Virginia man has been arrested for the murder of his wife.
According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, on April 25, 2024, Rick Allen Cordes, age 49 of Morgantown, was charged with first degree murder for the death of his wife Jennifer L. Hribar, 39 of Morgantown.
Cordes was arraigned in front of Magistrate Nabors no bond is set at this time.

According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to a shooting on Falling Water Lane.
Upon arriving on scene, Deputies located a female victim with an apparent fatal gunshot wound. The female was pronounced dead at the scene. Monongalia County Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
Mon EMS, Brookhaven Fire Department and Cheat Lake Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with the emergency response.
