RANDOLPH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man has been cited after driving a car into a hole.
According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, March 29, 2024, 911 dispatched a possible one-vehicle accident on Cravens Run Road in Randolph County.
The caller advised he was from Germany and drove into a big hole.
Police say there was a language barrier. The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded and once on scene, police observed a Jeep on its side in the air.
Police say the driver had driven into a big hole. The driver advised that he got lost trying to get back onto Davis & Elkins (D&E) College campus.
He advised that the vehicle was not his and that he was not licensed. Police were able to contact the vehicle owner and gave the vehicle owner a ride to the scene.
The vehicle was towed out of the hole and towed back to D&E. The driver was cited for no operators.
