LOGAN COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is charged after knocking on an apartment door, pointing a gun at a victim, and taking an Xbox.
According to State Police, on Sunday, August 13, 2023, a victim told officers that Kevin Kolovich came to his apartment, knocked on the door, pointed a black handgun at the victim, and told him to step back. The victim supposedly fell back over a couch, striking a coffee table.
Kolovich then attempted to leave the apartment, and the victim chased him. The victim was able to grab Kolovich by a tree in the yard, and that is when Kolovich struck the victim in the face with the firearm. The victim fell to the ground but was able to grab the suspect’s leg, which led to the suspect falling to the ground.
Kolovich was able to get back up and run off; the victim said he couldn’t chase him because he couldn’t see due to the amount of blood.
Police interviewed the suspect’s sister, who said she drove him to the residence to get his Xbox. The sister said she didn’t see the altercation occur.
Kolovich was charged with armed robbery and malicious assault. He is currently being held in jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
