MARTINSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A man was sentenced to 32 years in prison on Wednesday following a First-Degree Robbery conviction.
According to Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Catie Wilkes Delligatti, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, 45-year-old Gary Alan Prieb was sentenced by the Honorable Judge R. Steven Redding to 32 years in prison based on a conviction for the felony offense of First-Degree Robbery.
This case stemmed from an armed robbery incident which occurred on December 18, 2022, at the Jakki’s location on Warm Springs Avenue, along with an armed robbery which occurred on January 9, 2023, at the Falling Waters Jakki’s location.
Investigators pursued leads in relation to the case within the Berkeley County area as well as in Jefferson County and Loudoun County, Virginia. Through this process, evidence was secured which would prove critical to the obtaining of a conviction.
Assistant Prosecuting Attorneys Raymond E. Boyce, Jr. and Casey N. Putney prosecuted the case. Delligatti extended her thanks to Corporal Dopson and Deputy Giangola for their respective roles in the investigation and for their general service to the community.
