CROSS LANES, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Police in Kanawha County are currently investigating a stabbing that occurred early Monday morning which left one man injured.
According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, August 21, 2023, deputies with Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a stabbing in the 5100 block of Crystal Drive in Cross Lanes that left one man injured.
The incident occurred just before 6:00 a.m.
Deputies arrived on scene to find a 30-year-old male victim with a stab wound to his arm. The injury is non-life-threatening; however, the male was transported to CAMC General Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
According to the lead investigator, Deputy W.C. Hill the victim does not reside on Crystal Drive, and it is unknown what brought him to the area this morning. The victim alleged to have been walking along the roadway when he was attacked by another male.
Deputies are still investigating as they attempt to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. The suspect has been described as a white male, wearing a maroon shirt and a red bandana.
