MARTINSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Martinsburg Police Department is currently seeking qualified individuals to join their force as police officers. The department has announced that applications are now available for interested candidates.
The salary for new recruits will be in the range of $52,500 to $68,843, which will be determined based on the candidate’s level of certified experience. To further incentivize West Virginia certified officers, the Martinsburg Police Department is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
In addition, officers can enjoy various leave options, including vacation leave (up to 200 hours per year), sick leave (accrue up to 1080 hours), personal leave (24 hours per year), and comp time (earn up to 480 hours).
A pension benefit is available to officers who complete 20 years of service. Officers are also eligible for a take-home patrol vehicle, ensuring convenience and mobility in their duties.
Health insurance coverage is provided, with the employer covering 90% of the premiums. Longevity pay and a deferred compensation retirement plan are also offered by the department.
