BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Raleigh County’s own Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns have announced the group’s latest single, “Rust” which is now available on streaming platforms everywhere.
True to the established sound of the band, “Rust” incorporates elements of “y’allternative rock” alongside poignant lyrics depicting the passage of time and the inevitability of change.
Frontman and chief songwriter for Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns, Matt Mullins addressed the single’s inspiration by way of a multi-layered simile.
“We wanted to capture the essence of how we all carry our stories, much like rust on a beautiful piece of metal,” Mullins said. “It’s a reminder that the imperfections we see in ourselves can often lead to the most beautiful transformations.”
“Rust’s” release comes on the heels of the highly lauded Monarch Session album, which garnered hundreds of thousands of streams. The new single is currently available for both download and streaming on multiple streaming services including Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
