MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a suspect in the Stewart Street and Edmore Village area following an incident at FCI McDowell involving the alleged dropping of contraband.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation is related to an incident at the federal correctional institution. Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the incident.
The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black-and-white sweatshirt and black sweatpants. He is reported to have long dreadlocks, stand between 5 feet, 5 inches and 6 feet tall, and weigh approximately 125 pounds.
Anyone who sees a person matching the description is asked to call 911 immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing.
