MCDOWELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Stephanie Day was last confirmed to be in the Gary area of McDowell County on or around July 25, 2026. She was last seen riding a bicycle.

Investigators said Day was also known to frequently visit the Maybeury and Northfork areas of McDowell County.
Anyone who has seen Day, had any contact with her, or has information about her current whereabouts is asked to contact the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office at (304) 436-8523 or call 911.
The Sheriff’s Office said it appreciates any information the public can provide.
