MEADOW BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Meadow Bridge High School has been honored for its commitment to civic engagement, receiving the Jennings Randolph Award for the 31st consecutive year.
West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner and Fayette County Clerk Michelle Holly recognized the school for its outstanding voter registration efforts.
Since 1994, Meadow Bridge High School has consistently registered 100% of its eligible students to vote, earning the gold-level Jennings Randolph Award each year.
Additionally, students Emily Carothers and Kierston Rozell were named Honorary Secretaries of State for their efforts in encouraging their peers to register.
The Jennings Randolph Award, named after the late U.S. senator from West Virginia who championed lowering the voting age to 18, recognizes schools that promote civic participation among students.
