BRUSH FORK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Mercer County man faces several charges following an incident in the Brush Fork area.
According to reports from Trooper L.A. Evans of the Princeton Police Department, authorities were dispatched to the Arrow Head Deli on Sunday, June 19, 2022 on a disturbance call.
The complainant, Mr. Lambert, spoke with Trooper Evans, informing him that two males had previously entered the establishment stumbling and appearing generally intoxicated while he had been inside speaking with an employee.
Lambert stated that one of the individuals who was wearing a yellow shirt exited the establishment and began urinating in the bay of a nearby car wash.
Upon being asked to stop and leave, the man reportedly attempted to enter Mr. Lambert’s vehicle. This continued, despite the man being asked several times to cease. The individual is then said to have drawn back as though he intended to strike Mr. Lambert before fleeing to the nearby Brushfork Elementary School.
Speaking with an employee at the deli, Trooper Evans received corroboration of Lambert’s recollection of events.
The man, identified as Ryan Shinault, was located behind the Elementary School. Shunault’s breath reportedly produced a strong odor of alcohol, with his blood alcohol content found to be .251. Shinault was also found to have two capias from Cabell County.
Shinault was placed under arrest and transported to Princeton Police Department for processing. He was then transported to Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
