MINGO COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mingo County Board of Education has announced its plan for students and staff to return to school following recent flooding.
Monday, March 3, will be a full day of professional learning for school staff.
Students will return on a two-hour delay on Tuesday, March 4, to ensure they travel to bus stops in daylight for the first time since the flooding.
Regular schedules will resume after that.
School officials continue to assess community needs and provide support to affected families.
The district says it looks forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday.
