MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Presented in cooperation with the City of Morgantown and the Morgantown Sister Cities Commission, BOPARC has opened a new art exhibit at the Debora D. Palmer gallery.Â
The new exhibit, titled “Enter the Dragon,” is now on display. It features Han Dynasty Stone Rubbings from Xuzhou, China.Â
BOPARC will host a reception on February 10, 2024 from 6 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the arrival of the new exhibit and encourage community members to visit the gallery, located at the Wiles Hill Community Center, 287 Eureka Dr., Morgantown, WV 26505.
Loaned to the gallery by the Xuzhou Han Culture Promotion Association, the artwork provides a glimpse into the history of the region.
The rubbings, derived from stonework discovered in 20th-century excavations, offer insights into the lives of affluent families during a period of economic expansion.
Xuzhou has been a Sister City to Morgantown since 2017, and the Han Culture Promotion Association’s collaboration highlights the strong ties between the two cities.
BOPARC would like to invite the community to explore and appreciate this exhibition, which provides a unique opportunity to connect with the cultural heritage of Xuzhou.
