HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A Huntington woman is under investigation after disturbing videos surfaced showing her allegedly threatening and abusing her one-year-old child during bath time.
According to a complaint filed by Child Protective Services (CPS), a caseworker received multiple videos on Sunday, March 30, showing Jordan Forbush threatening to drown her toddler while bathing him. Additional footage reportedly shows Forbush excessively spanking the child, identified as a one-year-old. A photo of the child with visible bruising on his face was also shared.
CPS officially opened a case the following day, and officers from the Huntington Police Department accompanied Harper to the residence in Cabell County to assist with the child’s removal. The videos and photos were documented on the body-worn camera of Cpl. Lawhon, who was on the scene.
During the visit, Forbush was questioned about the videos. Forbush initially claimed she had no memory of the incidents, stating she “must have blacked out” from stress and frustration. She later admitted she may have smacked the child at some point. That interaction was also recorded on the officer’s body camera.
The child has been placed in the temporary care of a relative.
