POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Initial details have emerged regarding the upcoming 2024 Mothman Festival set to take place in September.
The annual gathering is held in commemoration of the purported 1966 sighting of the titular Mothman in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The event takes place each year on the third week of September, attracting attendees from around the world who flock to Main Street to celebrate the iconic cryptid.
The festival generally takes place over multiple days and features an array of exciting attractions ranging from guest speakers, vendors, live bands and 5k events to hayrides, cosplay, bus tours, festival food, and much more.
The 2024 Mothman Festival has been scheduled to take place on September 21 and September 22, as announced by the Mothman Museum. As is customary, admission to the festival is free, though some featured attractions and events will require minor fees.
The festival is located in Point Pleasant on Main Street between the 200 and 500 blocks. After crossing the green bridge into Point Pleasant, attendees will travel approximately 1 block before seeing the epicenter of the festival to their left.
