MOUNT NEBO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One person was injured Tuesday evening following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on U.S. Route 19 in Mount Nebo.
According to the Wilderness Volunteer Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 5:56 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, to the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 between West Virginia Route 129 and West Virginia Route 41.
Responding units found a motorcycle lying in the southbound lanes with one injured patient.
Firefighters and Jan-Care Ambulance Service personnel treated the patient at the scene before the individual was flown by Air Evac Lifeteam 121 to a trauma center for further treatment.
No other injuries were reported.
The southbound lanes of U.S. 19 were closed for nearly one hour while emergency crews responded to the scene.
