MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mount Hope Jubilee is set to return this weekend with two days of activities celebrating the community and Mustang pride.
Festivities begin Friday, Sept. 18, with an alumni gathering at 5 p.m. Karen James Buckland will perform gospel music beginning at 6 p.m.
A street dance will follow from 7 to 9 p.m., featuring music by DJ Bobby D & Donna. The evening will conclude with fireworks at 9 p.m. presented by the Mount Hope Fire Department.
Activities will continue Saturday, Sept. 19, with vendors set up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A parade is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Live music will begin at 11 a.m. on the center stage. Performers include the Ann Arrington Project with Jimmy Pino at 11 a.m., followed by Buddy Allen & The Cheat River Band at 1:30 p.m.
A car show hosted by the WV Classic Car Club will also take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Organizers are inviting residents, alumni, families and visitors to come together throughout the weekend to celebrate Mount Hope and its community.
