MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A quiet Sunday afternoon in Fayette County turned serious after deputies responded to reports of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Underpass Road.
At approximately 1:05 p.m. on April 6, 2025, Fayette County deputies were dispatched to Underpass Rd in Mount Hope following a 911 call concerning a domestic situation. When Deputy M.E. Whittington arrived on the scene around 1:40 p.m., fellow deputies D.L. Shreve and N.G. Burgess had already detained Brandon Ray Warwick, the reported male party involved in the incident.
Inside the residence, deputies observed the alleged victim, showing visible bruising on her face, arms, and hands. Despite her injuries, the victim was hesitant to cooperate. She declined to give an official statement and told deputies she did not want to press charges.
Upon further questioning, she reluctantly shared that she and Mr. Warwick had been drinking vodka earlier that morning around 5:00 a.m. and that a verbal altercation had taken place. She stated that after they both drank half a bottle of vodka, Mr. Warwick told her he no longer wanted to be in the relationship. However, she did not elaborate on whether the situation turned physically violent.
Deputies also spoke with the victim’s mother, who confirmed that her daughter had contacted her earlier that morning to report an argument with Mr. Warwick. According to the mother, her daughter was visibly bruised when they spoke.
