FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A woman was arrested after Fayetteville Police say more than 22 grams of fentanyl were recovered during a traffic stop on Route 19.
According to the Fayetteville Police Department, PFC J.P. Hannigan conducted a traffic stop near Keller Avenue on northbound Route 19 at approximately 6:40 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11.
During the investigation, PFC S.A. Gunnoe and K-9 Brix were called to the scene to conduct an exterior sniff of the vehicle. Police say K-9 Brix gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics.
Officers subsequently recovered approximately 22.3 grams of fentanyl.
The passenger in the vehicle, identified as Samantha Adkins, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver. She was transported to Southern Regional Jail without incident.
Hannigan was listed as the arresting officer, with Gunnoe and K-9 Brix assisting.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
