MOUNT HOPE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mount Hope Police Department issued 237 citations and conducted 246 vehicle stops during August, according to a monthly report presented to Mount Hope City Council on Tuesday.
Mount Hope Police Chief Sammy Jasper Jr. presented the department’s activity report during the council’s regular meeting.
According to the report, officers handled 55 total calls during August, including 52 general service calls.
The department reported three trespassing complaints, three domestic incidents and three accidents. Officers also assisted other agencies on three occasions.
Police made two arrests during the month and reported one felony case and two misdemeanor cases.
The department also handled one case involving driving on a suspended license due to DUI, one drug charge or overdose incident, one juvenile petition and one noise complaint.
Officers spent four hours in court during the month.
