MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS)— Opening statements were read today in the case of Timothy Hager.
Hager was charged with felony 2nd-degree murder, battery of an officer, obstruction, and fleeing on foot after allegedly shooting and killing Joshua Rasnick.
This incident stemmed from an argument between Hager and Rasnick. Hager was found later after a short foot pursuit in the woods by police and arrested on unrelated charges.
After a search warrant was executed at 1277 Stony Ridge Road, an AK-47 semiautomatic rifle and 6 used shell casings were found around the victim and 2 used shell casings around the kitchen area.
His charges carry a sentence up to possibly 40 years.
