BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A new family-friendly business has opened its doors in Beckley, offering an indoor play space for children alongside a café that welcomes guests of all ages.
Sip & Slide, located at 346 Rural Acres Drive, was created to provide families with a safe place where children can play while parents relax.
The facility features four separate play rooms designed for children of different ages, including a sensory room for children who may become easily overstimulated and need a quieter space to play and unwind.
Owners Ericka and Chris Jacobs said their goal was to create an environment where families can feel comfortable while giving children an opportunity to burn off energy in a safe setting.
In addition to the indoor play area, Sip & Slide operates a café that is open to everyone, even those without children. The café serves specialty coffee made with beans sourced from The Chocolate Moose using the business’s own recipes, along with SnoBiz snow cones through a partnership with SnoBiz. The business also offers treats and a variety of non-coffee beverages, with Hershey’s ice cream expected to be added soon.
Sip & Slide recently opened and is now welcoming customers.
The business is open Wednesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
