SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The New River Gorge Regional Development Authority has announced that New River Community and Technical College President, Bonny Copenhaver will offer keynote remarks at the NRGRDA’s upcoming Showcase and Soiree event.
Scheduled to take place at the Summersville Arena and Conference Center, the event will be held at 5:00pm on Friday, December 6, 2024, and will offer a variety of engagement and networking opportunities.
“A diverse and educated workforce throughout southern West Virginia will increase economic development opportunities and leverage our entrepreneurial efforts,” says New River Gorge Regional Development Authority Executive Director, Jina Belcher of the event. “Dr. Copenhaver has shown us with the aviation maintenance program, health professions training and advanced manufacturing that New River CTC is a strong partner in our region’s progress.”
The fourth New River Community and Technical College president, Dr. Copenhaver has worked diligently toward the community and technical college’s goal of offering accessible, affordable, and high-quality education and workforce programs to resident throughout New River CTC’s nine-county service region.
“We continually strive to be a college ready for students because education changes lives,” said Dr. Copenhaver. “We partner with regional industries to build advisory boards to ensure that our programs are preparing students for local jobs and with four-year institutions to create pathways to assist our graduates in continuing their education.”
