BIRCH RIVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Birch River man has been arrested and charged with multiple felonies following an incident that occurred Monday on Bays Road in Nicholas County.
According to the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department, 38-year-old William Kenneth Frame allegedly entered a female homeowner’s property without permission and became involved in a verbal altercation with a male subject outside the residence.
During the argument, Frame reportedly discharged a firearm in the area of the male subject.
Following the altercation, authorities say Frame entered the residence and engaged in another verbal dispute with the female homeowner.
He then allegedly discharged the firearm inside the home before threatening the woman with physical violence.
Investigators say he subsequently committed a sexual assault against the female victim.
A warrant was issued by a Nicholas County magistrate, and Frame was arrested in the Birch River area without incident. He was arraigned by Magistrate Beth Boso and transported to Central Regional Jail.
The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be filed.
