WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Charlotte, North Carolina man was cited on May 10 after his box-style truck became stuck while attempting to turn around in the median on Interstate 77 near Mineral Wells.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to the scene and found the truck positioned sideways in the median, with its front end partially blocking the northbound left lane.
The rear bumper was on the roadway while the back tires were suspended off the ground, prompting the deputy to temporarily close the lane for safety.
The driver, identified as Sheikh Abdulkadir Hussein, 39, of Charlotte, admitted he knew it was not permitted to turn around in the median.
He was cited for crossing a median on a divided highway.
