OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Oak Hill High School has welcomed a new Prevention Resource Officer.
Oak Hill High School (OHHS) says they are excited to introduce Corporal Korey Spears as their new Prevention Resource Officer (PRO) in the wake of Lieutenant McMullen’s retirement.
A graduate of Westside High School, Corporal Spears has been in law enforcement for 13 years, serving as a Deputy Sheriff for the past 7.
He is also a K9 handler, and his German Shorthaired Pointer, Ulkan, will be joining him most days.
The PRO Program collaborates between schools and law enforcement to enhance students’ understanding of criminal justice, prevent crimes, mentor youth with officers, and create a safer school environment for West Virginia students.
