FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County woman has been sentenced to prison after a series of methamphetamine sales were traced to her residence.
According to Fayette County Prosecuting Attorney, Anthony Ciliberti, Jr., in August of 2022, the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force received reports of the involvement of Shandrea Lee, 40 years old of Oak Hill, WV, in the distribution of methamphetamine.
On August 2, 2022, an undercover Task Force officer made a purchase for what was purported to be methamphetamine from the suspect. This exchange revealed additional quantities of methamphetamine inside the residence, leading to the execution of a search warrant for the residence.
A subsequent search of the residence revealed additional illegal drugs and packaging materials throughout, and subsequent laboratory testing revealed that the substances found comprised methamphetamine as well as fentanyl.
On August 4, 2023, Shandrea Lee was sentenced by Circuit Court Judge Paul M. Blake Jr. to one to fifteen years in prison for the felony offense of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver. The suspect plead guilty to the offense on June 7, 2023, and must serve a minimum of one year in prison before potentially becoming eligible for parole.
The case was investigated by the Central Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force and was prosecuted by Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ray W. Toney.
