WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A fatal crash involving multiple vehicles occurred Tuesday evening on U.S. Route 50 near Mile Marker 7, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving a call at 7:29 p.m. Authorities confirmed one fatality at the scene.
Several other individuals were injured and transported to Camden Clark Medical Center. Their conditions have not yet been released.
Responding agencies include the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Parkersburg Police Department, Parkersburg Fire Department, and CCMC Ambulance.
No additional information will be released until the investigation is complete and families of the victims have been notified.
