WESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Lewis County man was arrested Tuesday following a drug raid at a residence in Weston, according to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Mickey Metz announced that deputies, in coordination with the West Virginia State Police and the Weston City Police Department, executed a search warrant on June 17, 2025, at 75 Lights Trailer Court in Weston.
The investigation led to the arrest of Burton Edward Dye, 51, of Weston, who is now facing felony charges of possession with intent to deliver.
During the search, law enforcement officers reportedly found a clear zip-top baggie containing a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Officers also seized a black and orange scale with a similar substance on it, $187 in cash, and multiple empty zip-top baggies.
Dye was transported to the Central Regional Jail following his arrest.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that the suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
