BERKELEY COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched at approximately 4 a.m. on November 22, 2025, to the intersection of Butts Mill Road and Ferrels Ridge Road, where a 2012 silver Ford F-250 had struck a tree.
The vehicle’s sole occupant, identified as Bradley Dinges, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. Next of kin have been notified.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed when it crossed the median, left the roadway, and collided with the tree.
Evidence at the scene suggests that both speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
Sheriff Robert Blair expressed condolences to the family and emphasized the dangers of impaired and reckless driving.
“This is a tragic and unnecessary loss of life. Speeding and impaired driving continue to be among the most dangerous behaviors on our roadways,” Blair said.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
