MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A single-vehicle accident in Monongalia County has left one person dead and temporarily closed a major intersection Saturday evening.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office reported that a water truck overturned at the intersection of Crossroads Road and Klondike in Fairview.

The driver of the truck was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the intersection remained closed following the crash but was expected to reopen within the hour. Drivers in the area were urged to use caution.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
In a statement, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends, adding that deputies are committed to a thorough review of the circumstances surrounding the crash.
