MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Morgantown man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday in Monongalia County, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded Aug. 19 to a crash on Route 7 near Dry Run Road.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies arrived to find that William Kent Hamilton, of Morgantown, had struck a tree. Hamilton was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation, and authorities said no additional information is available at this time.
The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Monongalia County EMS, the Brookhaven Volunteer Fire Department and the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department.
