MARSHALL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Cameron man was seriously injured Tuesday morning after his vehicle struck the back of a dump truck near the AEP Mitchell Power Plant.
According to Marshall County Sheriff Mike Dougherty, the crash happened at approximately 9:45 a.m. on WV Route 2.

Investigators say 26-year-old Willard E. Atwell III was traveling south when his vehicle collided with the rear passenger side of a dump truck.
After the impact, Atwell’s vehicle veered to the right and came to a stop in the Gate 4 area of the Mitchell Plant. He suffered a head injury and was flown by medical helicopter to Pittsburgh in serious condition.
Authorities said more information on Atwell’s condition will be released as it becomes available.
