BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Texas man has been sentenced in connection with damaging a federal building in Bluefield, according to federal officials.
Will Adrian Samuels, 48, of Jefferson, Texas, was sentenced to time served and ordered to pay $1,990.84 in restitution for destruction of government property.
According to court documents and statements made in court, the incident occurred on Nov. 19, 2023, when Samuels repeatedly threw objects at two glass exterior doors at the front of the Elizabeth Kee Federal Building in Bluefield. The damage caused exceeded $1,000.
United States Attorney Moore Capito announced the sentence and credited the United States Marshals Service for its investigative work, along with assistance from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and the Wytheville, Virginia, Police Department.
The sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Judge David A. Faber. Assistant United States Attorney D. Keith Randolph prosecuted the case.
