BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A public panel discussion examining the future of data centers in West Virginia is scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
The event, titled “Big Data, Big Decisions: Data Centers and West Virginia’s Future,” will begin at 6 p.m. at the convention center, located at 200 Armory Drive in Beckley.
The panel will feature Sen. Brian Helton, who represents District 9, including parts of Fayette, Raleigh and Wyoming counties; Chris Morris, director of the Data Economy Office for the West Virginia Department of Economic Development; and Dado Slezak, executive vice president of Utility Innovation for QTS.
The discussion will be moderated by Hoppy Kercheval of WV MetroNews.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Ashley Horst, executive director of the Stubblefield Institute.
