FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A pedestrian was struck on Interstate 77 near the 63-mile marker of the West Virginia Turnpike Friday afternoon, just north of Westerly, according to West Virginia 511.
Officials report that all lanes in the area are currently blocked, causing heavy traffic congestion.

The West Virginia State Police and an accident reconstruction team are on the scene investigating the incident.
Authorities have not released information on the pedestrian’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the crash.
