GLEN MORGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing charges after striking a woman over personal property.
According to authorities, an officer responded to a domestic altercation on Dawson Court in the Glen Morgan area of Raleigh County. Â When they arrived, they saw a female victim in her 70s rinsing her mouth out and appearing injured. Â The officer patted down the male suspect, Ralph Browning, 77, and secured a handgun.
The victim told the officer that she had been arguing with Mr. Browning, her son-in-law, over some personal property. Â During the argument, Mr. Browning struck her in the face with his hands two times. Â The victim stated she attempted to strike him back in self-defense but could not make any significant contact.
Mr. Browning’s wife, a witness, told the officer that Mr. Bronwing was the aggressor in the conflict and struck the victim.
Ralph Browning was charged with domestic battery. Â He is currently out on bond.
