FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A 63-year-old man from Middlesex, North Carolina, was killed Friday in a hit-and-run on the West Virginia Turnpike.
Jack Walter was struck near the 63-mile marker, according to West Virginia State Police.
Authorities are actively searching for the vehicle responsible.
Troopers reported that debris left at the scene suggests a white tractor-trailer may have been involved in the crash.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
