WHEELING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Members of the Wheeling Police Department are currently investigating a shooting and break-in incident which took place over the weekend.
The Wheeling Police Department reports that on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at around 9:45am, authorities responded to the Ohio Street area of Wheeling Island with regard to reports of a breaking and entering incident.
Upon arriving at the scene, responding officer report having discovered that a firearm had been discharged inside the residence which struck a neighboring residence.
No injuries or fatalities were reported as a result of the incident and, according to police, no suspects have been identified in relation to the investigation at the time of writing.
