Greenbrier East 5, Riverside 4
Fairlea – Isiah Brooks and Darris Boswell collected two hits each as Greenbrier East withstood a late surge to down Riverside 5-4 Wednesday night in Fairlea.
Boswell also picked up the win for the Spartans on the mound, pitching 6.1 innings and allowing just one earned run.
East will host John Marshall on Friday.
Mount View 13, Westside 12
Welch – Trailing 12-5 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, Mount View scored eight runs to rally and defeat Westside 13-12 in Welch Wednesday evening.
Ryan Long’s base hit won the game for the Golden Knights while Justin Haggerty and Jaylen Hall drove in three runs each.
Jesse Lester led the Renegades with three hits in the loss.
Nicholas County 8, Beckley 6 (Suspended)
The Beckley-Nicholas County game was suspended in the sixth inning Wednesday night due to rain and will resume on April 19 at Nicholas County.
