Cross Lanes – Reece Patterson had a career night smacking three home runs and driving in seven to lead the Crusaders to a 13-3 win over Cross Lanes Christian Thursday.
Eli Grubb had a pair of hits and two RBI and John Rose smacked a double for Greater Beckley.
Independence 19, Bluefield 5 (5 innings)
The home-standing Patriots scored 10 runs in the first two frames and eight more in the fourth to roll past Bluefield 19-5 in five innings Thursday.
James Williams led the onslaught with a double, a single and five RBI. Clay Basham had a three hit night, including a triple, and drove in three runs.
Caleb Riddle hit his first high school home run and scored three times. Cole Cunningham and Orion Wills each had two RBI.
Caleb Fuller and Davis Rockness each had a double for the Beavers.
James Monroe 4, Summers County 2
Hinton – James Monroe found a way to get four runs on the board and beat Summers County 4-2 Thursday in a pitcher’s duel.
Matthew Stutts scattered five hits and struckout 12 to get the win for the Mavericks, while Benjamin Lane allowed just seven hits and fanned nine for the Bobcats.
Own Jackson had a pair of hits for James Monroe with Cooper Ridgeway and Carson Koen each hitting a double.
Lane, Colton Jones and Devin Mansfield each had a double for Summers County.
Shady Spring 22, PikeView 3 (5 innings)
Gardner – Shady Spring scored 11 runs in the fourth inning en route to a 22-3 win over PikeView in three innings.
Cam Manns hit a home run, a double and drove in two runs, while Cash McCall blasted two homers in the same frame and drove in three runs.
Parker Brown hit a pair of doubles and drive in four runs. Aiden Calvert hit a double, a single and had three RBI. Colten Tate also had three RBI for Shady.
