Beckley – Shady Spring exploded for four runs in the third inning and five in the fourth to beat Greater Beckley 10-0 Thursday night in Beckley.
David Young pitched all five innings for the Tigers, delivering a one-hit performance to go along with nine strikeouts. Josh Lovell led the Tigers at the plate with a three hits and four RBIs, stroking a home run as well.
Liberty 11, Westside 1
Clearfork – Liberty scored eight runs in the fourth inning, causing to an 11-1 victory over Westside Thursday in Clear Fork.
Andrew Pettry led the Raiders on the mound, allowing just one run in five innings, striking out nine. Pettry also drive in two runs at the plate while Tanner Teller added two RBIs with a triple.
