Nicholas County 2, Greenbrier East 1
Fairlea – Coleton Hellems smacked a two-run home run in the top of the second inning and Nicholas County made it last in a 2-1 win over Greenbrier East at Spartan Yards.
Ira Mylott and Hellems combined on a one-hitter with nine strikeouts for the Grizzlies (10-3).
Peyton DeHaven had the only hit for the Spartans and scored the only run which was unearned.
Summers County 13, Shady Spring 3
Hinton – Summers County scored eight runs in the bottom of the third inning and rolled past Shady Spring 13-3 in five innings Thursday.
Ryan Oliveros surrendered only one hit and struck out five to get the win and also drove in two runs. Brandan Isaac, Colton Jones and John Williams all had two RBI for the Bobcats (13-4).
Williams, Jones and Robey Brown had two hits apiece.
Grant Lawson had a hit and one RBI for the Tigers (6-12).
Westside 10, Lincoln County 9
Clear Fork – Kadien Vance singled home Sawyer Kenney in the bottom of the seventh inning to push Westside past Lincoln County 10-9 Wednesday.
Vance also had a triple and two RBI in the win, while Jaeden Lester had a triple and four RBI for the Renegades (7-4). Kenney had two singles and Alex Brunty had a single and a double in the win.
Brady Eplin had four RBI for the Panthers and Graysen Ellis had two.
PikeView 7, Graham, Va. 4
Princeton – Eli Hilling fanned 13, improving to 4-2 on the years as PikeView downed Graham, Va. 7-4 Wednesday in Coppinger Tournament pool play at Hunnicutt Stadium.
The Panthers, tied 4-4 with Graham heading into the bottom of the fifth, answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame to reclaim the lead.
Landon Wyatt collected a pair of hits for the Panthers while Sammy Lyle and Zach Rose collected two hits and RBIs each.
Wyoming East 5, Tug Valley 4
New Richmond – Wyoming East staved off a late comeback, capturing a 5-4 win over Tug Valley Wednesday in New Richmond.
Ryan Mills drove in a trio of runs for the Warriors while Bryson Hunt and Owen Biggs collected a pair of hits each.
Jarred Phillips collected the win, pitching five innings.
